Our tours run approximately 4 hours. We have both morning or afternoon tours available. All of our custom 4x4 vehicles carry ice packed coolers. You will be supplied with free sodas or ice cold bottled water on your trip.

Where do we meet our cowboy guide after we schedule our tour?

We will send one of our genuine cowboy guides directly to your hotel in the Phoenix and Scottsdale area in are 4-wheel vehicles to pick you up. If you are staying at a residence in Scottsdale we can pick up at homes. Other residences require us to pick up at a location in Scottsdale. So, if you have lunch or dinner plans we can pick up at the restaurant of your choosing then drop you off at the restaurant after the tour.

Where do the tours go?

We have 6 permitted trails in various locations throughout the valley. These spectacular areas are convenient to hotels in Phoenix and Scottsdale. We chose the trail that is closest to your hotel.

What do we see?

We drive through the desert on old ranch trails into areas that are covered with cactus and other unique flora. There is a good chance any of the many different species of wildlife that inhabit the desert including mountain lion, mule deer, javelina, and rattlesnakes can be seen. Its like a jungle safari in the desert: we never know what we are going to see. It is an adventure that is made fun exciting by our knowledgeable and entertaining Cowboy guides.

How long is the walk?

The nature walk can be as long or as short as the guest desires. We can even do the tour without a walk. Everything can be seen from the vehicle. Or we can take a hike through a canyon or down a steep hill overlooking Granite Mountain. We tailor make the tour for your enjoyment.

How do I tell if the operator has proof of insurance and should I care?

We are insured for up to $1,000,000 in or out of the vehicles. You should be able to have the operator's insurance carrier send you a certificate of insurance or an up-dated copy should be in the vehicles.

How do we know that we are allowed to be on the trails?

All of our trails are permitted through various government agencies. In the glove compartment of our tour vehicles are the permits and maps showing where we are allowed to travel. We have the most permits of any company in the Valley. Other companies can travel only a few miles through the desert. We have an extensive trail system that covers over 100 miles of trails through the Sonoran Desert. This affords the customer a more intense desert experience.

Do you use Hummers?

The areas we go to in the Sonoran Desert are off-limits to wide track vehicles. We go to pristine desert locations that a Hummer cannot access. Our tour is about experiencing the desert. You can ride in a Hummer anywhere in the U.S. You can only truly enjoy the Sonoran Desert on a tour with us.

What's the difference between a desert jeep tour and a Hummer tour?

Jeep tours have evolved over 25 years to carry on the southwestern traditions so prevalent in the area. Jeep tours are about 4-wheeling though pristine deserts where we tell all about the desert. Although a hummer tour is a good tour, it's all about riding in a hummer. You can do that anywhere in the world. There is only one place to see the Sonoran desert. Basically, these are two different types of tours. If you want experience the beauty with a fun adventure in the desert then we are the best choice.

What happens if it rains?

The desert is a wonderland in the rain. The aroma and the scenery after a storm are spectacular. Most rainstorms last a few minutes then leave the desert awash in crystal clear views of the landscape.

What do you recommend that we bring with us?

We recommend that you wear closed toed shoes. No sandals. Wear clothes appropriate for the weather. And most of all, BRING YOUR CAMERA

All vehicles are equipped with: Water, Fire Extinguishers, toe straps, cellular phone, CB, tools, blankets, and first aid kits.

The desert can be a very dangers place. We take every step for your safety and to be sure of your return. As others have found out the hard way, spending the night in the desert wasn't part of the tour.

Without a doubt we have more trails then any company in Arizona. With trails on all four sides of the Metropolitan Phoenix/Scottsdale area. Your tour can now begin sooner eliminating the drive time through city traffic jams.

Our permits allow us the use of the spectacular Tonto National Forest and BLM. These exclusive trails will take you through Indian Ruins, a Real Ghost Town, and the Ruins of a Stage Station and river crossings. Many Trails are unobtainable to the average tourist
